About Us
Producing books that nurture dialogue
Who We Are
Founded in 2001 with a generous grant from the Oristaglio Foundation, Etruscan Press is a nonprofit cooperative of poets and writers working to produce and promote books that nurture the dialogue among genres, achieve a distinctive voice, and reshape the literary and cultural histories of which we are a part.
What We Do
We publish books of poems, novels, short stories, creative nonfiction, criticism, translation, and anthologies. Three of our poetry collections have been National Book Award finalists; one of our titles was chosen as the Poetry Society of America’s First Book Award, and three poems have been chosen for Best American Poetry. Etruscan is proud of support received from the National Endowment for the Arts, Ohio Arts Council, and the Nathalie and James Andrews Foundation, as well as many private contributors.
Where We Are
Housed in Dr. Harold Cox Hall, home of the Wilkes University Maslow Family Graduate Program in Creative Writing in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, and also drawing on the resources of Youngstown State University, Etruscan is distributed by Consortium Book Sales and Distribution.
